Top 6400, Part 1/26 (songs 1-150)

This is a list of the Top 6400 Rock Songs from the years 1950-2012.  These are not my personal opinions, but a compilation of 37 lists of top rock songs from various radio stations, publications and internet sites.  Every time a song appeared on one of those lists, it received a score depending upon where it ranked (higher rank = higher score) and then all the scores were added together and the songs were sorted from 1-6400.

Many of these 37 lists focused on one type of music such as Soft Rock, Classic Rock, Heavy Metal, Alternative, Oldies etc., but some were more broad and cut across different eras.  I tried to use enough variety of lists so that this compilation would include songs from every era & sub-genre of Rock Music. Classic Rock dominates the top of the list but there's lots of variety once you get past the first few hundred songs.

Note that artists from other genres, such as Bob Marley, Adele, Madonna, Michael Jackson, etc. sometimes get votes and their songs appear in this list.  Adele, for example, has three songs on the list but none made it onto the top 2000.  Obviously she would have ranked much higher on a Pop/Soul list.
